Collection of personal information
We may collect a variety of information from you by you entering your name, email address, delivery address and phone number when you complete a registration form to become a member, when you make an order or when you subscribe to a newsletter.

This information helps us communicate updates and information related to your order, and also improve our customer service experience. The information is collected by us during correspondence from you, such as via telephone, email, or directly through our website.

We regularly ask for your vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) to assist in accurately determining parts for your vehicle. It is also optional to provide your vehicle's VIN number at checkout to engage in our optional suitability cross check prior to despatch. By providing your vehicle's VIN number, you consent to us providing it to a third party such as a supplier to assist in answering your enquiry.

Cookies
We collect other general non-personal data such as number of visitors, type of browser, page views, geographical location, general effectiveness of advertising campaigns using third party cookies, such as Google analytics, in order to improve our website performance. We use these cookies to identify problems you may face when visiting our website so we can continually improve. Please download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on if you prefer not to participate.

Storage of collected data
The security of your personal information is important to us. Your sensitive information is encrypted with SSL technology and we do not store credit card details, however this may be an option offered by Paypal and our payment processing service providers.

Access to collected data
If you need to change your details, please log in and change these prior to placing your next order. We can help you to delete your account if you no longer need our service by emailing us at info@bmdirect.com.au.

Third parties
BM Direct will never sell or provide your personal information to other third parties for their own purposes. We will not share any personal financial information you provide with other parties unless this is needed to process your order or prevent or combat fraud.

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.

Credit card details
We do not store credit card details or any payment information. All transactions are performed by payment gateways including Paypal and Stripe.

Some purchases made by credit cards may be subject to additional routine fraud checks. These are carried out at random but may be triggered by mismatched information. If additional checks are required, your order will be delayed until checks are satisfied. If we do not receive a response from the purchaser within 7 days, your order will be cancelled and refunded.

From time to time, it may be necessary for us to update this Privacy Policy document. We suggest revisiting this page periodically.  Any changes will be stated as such.
