Note 2: Warranty is void if there are any traces of oil or solvent contamination around the plastic (front) impeller housing. Oil and solvent contact causes the impeller housing seal to expand and crack the housing resulting in a leak. Continental/VDO strictly does not provide coverage for this mode of failure. We recommend carrying out and completing all upper engine oil leaks before replacing the pump.
