Delphi TD1827W Caster Bush for Left Front Lower Control Arm (BMW/Mini 31126882843, 31128831645, 31126850403, 31126874341 Equivalent)

Delphi is one of the world's most well known OE suppliers to vehicle manufacturers. The caster bushes on most BMW and Mini vehicles require replacement around 80-100k km. Due to a defect in the original versions of the lower control arms fitted to mostly pre-2018 BMW X1, F45 2 Series Active Tourer and Mini Cooper F5x models, many owners report a loud metallic knocking noise in the footwell when going over sharp bumps. When these control arms are fitted, the old caster bush needs to be pulled off using a press, often destroying the bush in the process due to the extreme forces required to separate it from the arm.

As many of these vehicles in addition to the X2, 1 and 2 series hatch/Gran Coupe and later built versions of the models mentioned above are racking up more km's, the bushes will eventually require replacement to correct thumping noises and sloppy steering issues.
